History Walks: Inspiring Women

The newest History Walks tour, Inspiring Women, highlights Grandview Heights and Marble Cliff women past and present who made an impact both locally and beyond. The stories offer a peek into the history of the communities and their residents.

History Walks is an app-based walking tour in Grandview Heights and Marble Cliff. The tour is FREE; download the app at ‪grandviewhistorywalks.org‬ or from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

History Walks is a collaborative effort between the Society and the Grandview Heights Public Library (GHPL).

The rich history of the Grandview Heights and Marble Cliff area includes, notable residents, inspiring structures, ecological landmarks, and numerous local stories. Providing historical information to residents, visitors, and the general public helps ensure this amazing past is preserved for future generations.

History Walks is a collection of  11 walking tours, each with approximately 6 - 9 stops for which the associated history is described. Each tour is approximately two miles long and will take around 1.5 hours to complete on foot. We encourage walking, running, or biking the tour routes to get the most benefit from this experience.

Stops on these tours are private residences. Please respect the owners’ privacy and observe residences from public access points only.
